Commission on one recharge, by partner level
Overview
i2i Partner Settlement is the money side of an ISP's partner network. Every partner holds a wallet. When a customer registers or renews, the system works out the commission for the selling partner and its direct parent, books it to their wallets and records the ISP's own share, all from the same transaction that bills the customer.
The network has three levels: distributor, sub-distributor and LCO. Commission plans are set in partner profiles by plan group, single plan, add-on or charge, as a percentage or a fixed value. Wallet top-ups and partner payments are matched against outstanding balances oldest first, TDS on commission is recorded, and monthly statements and sharing reports can be generated.
At a glance
- Commission booked from the renewal that bills the customer
- Three levels: distributor, sub-distributor and LCO
- Payments matched to outstanding balances, oldest first
- TDS on commission recorded and exportable
What is partner settlement in an ISP network?
Many ISPs sell and support customers through distributors and local cable operators. Each of those partners collects money, pays the ISP and earns a share of what its customers spend. Partner settlement is the process that keeps those flows correct: how much a partner owes, how much it has earned, and which payment clears which balance.
Three ideas matter. A partner wallet holds prepaid money, and in some models it may run negative up to a credit limit. Commission is the partner's share of a sale, set as a percentage or a fixed amount by plan or charge. Settlement is the matching of payments against what is outstanding, so that every balance shows what has been paid and what has not. Tax deducted at source, TDS in India, is withheld from commission.
i2i Partner Settlement implements these in the billing platform. It is not a separate system: it works on the same renewals, invoices and payments that i2i CRM records, so partner earnings are not keyed in a second time.

Use cases
Where i2i Partner Settlement is used
LCO renewals against a wallet
A distributor tops up its wallet through an online gateway. Its LCOs renew customers, each renewal debits the wallet and credits commission to the LCO and its parent, and the ISP's share is recorded on the same transaction. The ledger shows every movement and can be exported.
A commission plan for a new tier
The ISP sets a percentage commission on a plan group for LCOs and a parent share for sub-distributors. Before saving a plan, the commission preview in the plan summary shows the share for each level, the TDS and the deductions, so the rates can be checked against margin.
Postpaid partners on a credit limit
A trusted partner runs a postpaid wallet with a maximum credit limit and may hold a debit balance. Its payments are matched to outstanding items oldest first, and the postpaid commission tracker shows what remains to settle.
Month-end statements and GST reports
Finance generates the monthly statement for each partner as a PDF and regenerates one when a correction is needed. It also downloads the partner-wise GST report and the TDS transactions as spreadsheets for the accounts team.
FAQ
i2i Partner Settlement: frequently asked questions
How many partner levels are supported?
Three by default: distributor, sub-distributor and LCO. Levels are stored as labelled rows, so an ISP can rename them, and a level can be set to hold or not hold a wallet. Commission is booked to the selling partner, its direct parent and the ISP, not to every ancestor.
Is commission a percentage or a fixed amount?
Either. A rule can be a percentage or an absolute value, flat or slab-based, and can be calculated on the product base price, the MRP, the partner's commission or the ISP's commission. Rules attach to plan groups, individual plans, add-ons and charges, and to events such as registration, renewal, cancellation and modem charges.
Is commission calculated when the transaction happens?
Yes. Commission is booked to the wallets at transaction time, when a customer registers, renews, cancels, or adds or cancels an add-on. Loyalty rewards can also be paid into the partner wallet. Reports and statements are then produced from those recorded transactions.
Does it handle TDS on commission?
Yes. TDS on partner commission is recorded as separate TDS transactions that can be searched and exported to CSV or XLSX. The admin screens for TDS and adjusted gross revenue (AGR) transactions are still basic, so most teams will rely on the export today.
Can I see a settlement before it is recorded?
Yes. A settlement preview shows how a payment would be matched to outstanding items before it is recorded, and cancelled payments are reversed with a contra entry that keeps the history. Payments are otherwise settled automatically, oldest first, right after each top-up or payment.
Can the system pay partners out of the platform?
No. Partner Settlement records wallets, commission and the matching of payments, and generates statements. It does not send money to a partner's bank account. Any payment to a partner's bank account happens outside the platform, using the statements and ledgers it produces.
