Overview

i2i Customer Portal & App is the self-care front end for your subscribers. A customer signs in with a password or a mobile OTP and lands on a dashboard with their services. From there they renew or change a plan, pay by gateway, download invoices, check usage, manage their router settings and raise a service request.

The portal has no data of its own. It calls the same i2iCore billing, core, ticketing and device services that the operator uses, and it shows prepaid and postpaid customers the menus that suit them. The operator switches individual modules on or off, so a menu item appears only when the operator has enabled it for the customer.

What is a subscriber self-care portal?

A self-care portal lets a broadband customer do routine tasks without contacting the operator. Typical tasks are paying a bill, renewing or changing a plan, downloading an invoice, checking how much data was used, and reporting a fault. Each task done online is one call, message or visit that the support team does not have to handle.

For an ISP a portal has one hard requirement: it must show the same numbers as the billing system. A portal that keeps its own copy of balances or plans will drift. The safer design is a thin front end that reads and writes through the billing, ticketing and device systems, and that hides options a given customer or plan is not allowed to use.

The web portal in i2i Customer Portal & App follows this design. It is a Next.js application that sends requests to the platform APIs, and payments run through the gateways the operator has configured. A separate mobile app exists, built for a single operator, and this page describes the web portal unless it says otherwise.

Use cases

Where i2i Customer Portal & App is used

  • Prepaid renewal at night or at the weekend

A prepaid subscriber sees that the plan is about to expire, opens the portal, renews it or moves to another plan, and pays through the operator's gateway. The operator can also send a payment link that opens the renewal page without a login.

  • Postpaid invoice and payment

A postpaid customer opens Billing and Payments, downloads the latest invoice and any credit or debit note, and pays what is outstanding online. Postpaid customers do not see prepaid-only options such as renewal or top-up.

  • Reporting a fault and following it

A customer raises a service request from a list of categories, answers the category questions and follows the request. Comments and the workflow history are visible in the portal, so the customer does not need to phone for an update.

  • Managing the home router

A subscriber changes the Wi-Fi name, checks the devices connected, and resets or removes a MAC binding. The options appear only where the operator has enabled device management for that customer, and prepaid session disconnect follows the same switch.

FAQ

i2i Customer Portal & App: frequently asked questions

Which payment gateways can subscribers use?

The web portal supports AggrePay, Razorpay, CCAvenue, Paytm, Cashfree, AblePay and Atom Paynetz, plus generic return-URL gateways. The mobile app adds PhonePe, EaseBuzz and PayU. Gateways are configured on the operator side, so you need your own gateway account.

Can customers use it on a phone?

Yes, the web portal has a responsive layout. A separate Flutter mobile app also exists with renewal, payments, service requests, usage, Wi-Fi settings and eKYC. That app is built for one operator, with the server address fixed in the build, so plan it as a project.

Can I change the appearance to match my company?

In part. The sign-in page takes the organisation's logo, name, title, background image and support contacts from the operator's settings, with several layouts to choose from. Inside the portal, each customer can pick a light or dark theme and one of six colour skins, but there is no per-operator colour theme.

Are prepaid and postpaid customers treated differently?

Yes. There are two menu trees. Postpaid customers do not see renewal, top-up, device controls, OTT claims or future subscriptions. Individual menu items can also be hidden by the operator through module access settings such as renew plan, service requests, devices or bills.

Do customer requests reach the ticketing system?

Service requests are created through the platform's existing complaint services, so operator staff see them. A newer support-only portal writes to i2i Ticketing directly. Confirm with i2iCore which route your deployment uses before you design workflows around it.

Can customers sign up for a new connection?

Not through the main portal. A self-registration page exists for buying OTT plan bundles, with OTP verification and payment, but a full new-connection sign-up is not part of the current portal.

Is the portal text translated?

No. The portal text is English only in the current build, and amounts follow the Indian rupee format by default. If your subscribers need the interface in another script, raise it with i2iCore before you commit to a deployment.
